Q: How old do you have to be to tan ?
A: Clients must be 18 years or older to tan at Tan in the Wild. If you look like you are under the age of 25, we will ask for a picture ID to verify your age.
Q: Do my tans ever expire ?
A: Yes, your tanning packages expire depending on the package you purchase.
- 1 Month packages expire in 30 days
- 3 Month packages expire in 90 days
- 1 Year packages expire in 365 days
- All other tan packages expire in 12 months.
Q: Which is better, a natural SPF or the SPF found in lotions ?
A: There is a lot of controversial information about the chemicals found in SPF lotions, a natural SPF is much healthier for the skin than a chemical solution that is absorbed by our blood through our skin. Do your research when choosing and SPF, especially when choosing one for your children.
Q: What do you recommend for pre-vacation tanning ?
A: We have a special 1 month unlimited tanning package that allows you to start tanning up to 30 days before your vacation. It is designed so you can really take your time and build up a nice base tan over time. This way you don't have to try and rush all your tanning in a few visits. Many times if we don't start early enough our busy schedules get in the way and we end up running out of time. start early, make sure you get a good base tan. If you only need a few weeks to get ready you will have some extra tanning days to maintain that beautiful tan after your vacation.
Q: What are the advantages of building a base tan before my vacation ?
A: Our bodies have the ability to develop a natural Sun Protection Factor, which means that with a dark base tan, your natural skin will allow you to stay out in the sun four times longer than without a tan. Additionally, with a base tan, you�ll look amazing in your swimsuit as soon as you hit the beach, without running the risk of burning on the first day, and spending the remainder of your trip suffering from a bad sunburn.
Q: Can I share my tanning package ?
A: That depends on the type of tanning package you purchase.
- 1 month, 3 month and yearly unlimited packages cannot be shared and are 1 per person.
- All session packages of 5, 10, 15 or more tans can be shared with family or friends if you so desire.
Q: Can I share my monthly unlimited membership ?
A: Unfortunately, because the packages offer unlimited tanning, they cannot be shared. In order to continue to offer our clients low cost unlimited tanning packages, unlimited membership plans cannot be shared. One unlimited package per person.
Q: What time is the last tanning session of the night ?
A: Tan in the Wild is open until 9 p.m. on weekdays. We are open until 7 p.m. on Fridays and 6 p.m. on Saturdays and 5 p.m. on Sundays. You may enter the salon 15 minutes before closing as long as the tanning unit of your choice is available and ready for use. In the interest of the safety of our employees, we kindly request that clients plan their visits at least 15 minutes prior to closing in order to allow our staff to depart at a reasonable hour.
Q: Does Tan in the Wild ever have sales?
A: Yes, we have a VIP Customer Newsletter that we send out with various specials from time to time and some FREE TANNING DAYS as well.

Q: What if I am unhappy with the tanning results ?
A: Tan in the Wild is not a franchise. We do not have any strict rules to follow about how long to leave our bulbs in to meet profit margins. We measure our bulbs every month to make sure our tanning beds always give great tanning results. Sometimes certain skin types need a stronger tanning bed to develop color. Please notify a Tan in the Wild staff member immediately if you don't think you are getting the color that you should. We continually ask how your results are coming along so we can adjust your tanning schedule, tanning levels; or do whatever we can to ensure your ultimate satisfaction.
